Office Hours: Every Tuesday from noon-1:30pm

Beginning next week, I will be available during office to help anyone that is working on content we did not cover this year, but want to be ready for next year.  I will list the general objective in my notes for the week.
This is totally OPTIONAL!!

End of the year grades:

I hope this email finds everyone well.  The math team has been trying to figure out the best way for students to increase their year average if they so desire.   After much consideration it has been decided that any student who earns a smart score of 90% in each of the SOL threads covered in class this year will have their year-end grade increased by a half letter.  What this means is that a student with a B+ could earn an A for the year, a student with a C+ could earn a B and so on.

It is important to remember that IXL is a tool that we have been using all year, and it has been the focus of our review since our last day of school on March 13th, because of this, much of this work should already be complete. You can return to any section that doesn’t have a smart score of 90% and continue to review until it does.

The SOLs covered in class this year are listed below on my teacher page.  Please email me after meeting the criteria for each section so I can track your progress. As we did on retakes, I will confirm with you that I have received it.  All work must be completed by3PM on Friday June 5th, so grade changes can be completed as necessary before the grade deadline.

As a convenience I have once again attached the cheat sheet that shows the step by step process on how to access the content in IXL by SOL thread.

More Specific Stuff:

No, you don't need to look at all of the videos- but they are a great way to review painlessly!

We will be using Quizizz or Gimkit on Wednesday- so look over the games and tell me if there is one you want me to host.

3rd and 4th Periods:

We are reviewing percent, proportion and rate of change.
