US HISTORY 7th GRADE
I will host OPTIONAL Zoom meetings on Friday's at 9:00am.  Before each meeting, I will email the weekly assignment and Zoom login information. You do not need to attend the virtual meeting to complete the assignment. These meetings are a chance for us to chat and "check-in" with each other. I would like students to complete the assigned activity and submit for feedback from me.  Let's use this opportunity to review and enrich our knowledge from this past year.  Weekly assignments can be found HERE in the folder titled Social Studies Virtual Classroom.

Digital Citizenship 6th Period

1.  There will be no NEW content introduced to students this school year.
2. The 3rd Marking Period ended April 24.
3. Grades for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Marking period will stand.  HOWEVER, if students show mastery and effort of optional review and reteaching resources, teachers have the ability to raise a student's final year grade.

  • Students, please check your Office 365 email account regularly. I use this email to communicate and share files with you.
  • Practice logging in to SLMS (the Benton web page)and your Office 365 email.  We will access and use these two important tools frequently.
  • Parents & Students are you receiving my weekly emails?  If not, please update your email address with the school.  I am now using Parent Vue to send my my weekly emails to parents and students. Parent Vue
  • US History II is a broad, survey course with the purpose to help students develop independent, critical thinking skills.
  • The study of history is not the memorization of facts. In this class, students will develop informed opinions and answer complex questions. These are essential traits of an informed citizen. Students will acquire these traits by:
    • analyzing the reliability of sources.
    • comparing and contrasting different perspectives.
    • discussing with classmates the motives and influential factors that might contribute to varied points of view about the same topic in American History.
