The BentonBots: VEX Robotics Team 1231

Welcome to the  Robotics Team

The Benton Robotics team is a very popular competition based extracurricular activity. Students will work in small teams to design, build and program a robot using the VEX Robotics platform to compete in tournaments against other middle and high school teams. Robotics is a sport for the mind; it blends applied physics, mathematics, programming, prototyping and design, integrated problem solving, teamwork and leadership. Students who are successful in robotics must work well under pressure and work well with others.

Students may apply to the Robotics Team only at the beginning of the school year. As with any team, space and resources are extremely limited and the selection process is highly competitive due to the sheer numbers of students who wish to participate.

Details for the 2020-2021 Season are still being worked out. Please check back for details in a few weeks.
We are working with the REC Foundation, PWCS Robotics Coordinator and other teams to develop plans for the season and we hope to release them soon. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

Mrs. Cinnamon will not be returning as the Benton Robotics Coach this year. After 8 years of coaching at Benton, she has officially retired at the end of last season. New coaches are in the process of being hired for this year.
