I emailed invitations to students for their meeting.  There is no expectation for students other than just to check in with each other, and I will answer some questions. We will also talk about what we will be doing going forward. 

When you set up your account and sign information please use your name, or a derivation of it.  I will not admit anyone to the meeting if I cannot tell who they are by their screen name.

Period 1 and 2 will meet from 8:40 - 9:15

We are all aware that school has at this point been closed by the Governor  of Virginia for the remainder of the school year, at a minimum.  What does this mean for students? The answer is we have no idea.
The federal government has waved requirements for state assessments (read SOLs), and I am sure that the state of Virginia and Prince William County will be applying that to the students of Benton Middles School. 

We know that when students are not engaged in active learning that they often regress academically, so I encourage All of my students to continue to review the material we have already covered this year in IXL.  Additionally it would be advantageous to make attempts to learn the material we did have not covered so far this year.  IXL does an excellent job of assessing student knowledge and offering explanations for new and review content.
