Student needs for Tryouts

Parents/Students need to register on the Arbiter Website. Once registered, there will be prompts to complete Student Athlete Education, which includes Concussion Education. Lastly, after being completed by a doctor, the student's 6-page PWCS Middle School Sports Physical Form will need to be uploaded to the Arbiter website. Sports physicals using the new form will be valid for 14 months. Once an Athletic Trainer processes your registration and physical on Arbiter, you will receive an email stating approval or stating what needs to be completed.

Guidelines for Academic Eligibility

Middle School students who wish to try out for any athletic team must meet the county guidelines for academic eligibility.

  • All grade six students are eligible for Season 1 tryouts.
  • All 7th & 8th grade students must meet the county’s academic eligibility standards for Season 1 tryouts based on their 4th quarter grades for the 2024-25 school year.
  • All grade levels must meet county requirements to be eligible for tryouts for seasons 2, 3 & 4.

A student is placed on academic probation and is ineligible for tryouts/participation in sports if he/she has received an “F” in two or more subject areas.

Important Changes to Student-Athlete Participation Requirements
